Walter Wilson started Wilson Irrigation in 1984. Mr. Wilson has since moved on to a different career and over the years, the company has been owned by three other individuals; however, the company's name and approach to quality has remained the same.
Since 1994, David Brannan has owned and operated the company. In the first 10 years of operation (1984 to 1994) the company built a customer base of 1,200 customer installations. Since 1994, our customer base has grown to over 8,000.
We have intentionally positioned the company to service the residential market and provide personalized service. Over 80% of our business is derived from "after-market" sales (sales to people who did not have a sprinkler system installed when they purchased their house.)
Because we normally work with existing landscapes, we hand trench most jobs. Hand trenching causes less damage to existing landscapes and allows your yard to recover from "sprinkler surgery" more rapidly. It is our utmost concern that your lawn and landscape remain in the best condition possible after installation.
One of the company's most significant evolutionary steps was the employment of year-round service personnel. Since 1994, we have employed repair technicians on a full-time, year-round basis. This allows us to provide consistent, rapid and courteous service that is not offered by all irrigation companies. Additionally, we provide service for many systems that were installed by companies no longer in business.
Since 1984, Wilson Irrigation has continued to grow through each economic cycle. The company has experienced both ends of the economic spectrum and is well positioned for the future. We continue to provide high quality service by offering our customers a quality product at a reasonable price.
